Ball High Parking

Dear Ball High School families,

We want to provide you with as much information as possible regarding the plan for parking at Ball High School given current construction circumstances. Please know that our students are our greatest concern, and our staff members are doing everything they can to navigate this construction process as smoothly as possible.

We will begin the school year with fewer parking spots available. However, we have provided a map below showing in green the various areas students will be allowed to park. As construction continues and houses are removed in adjoining lots, a temporary parking lot will be expanded and we expect to have 140 student parking spots available approximately Sept. 12.

We want you to know that we are aware of the challenges this situation presents. However, we find comfort in knowing the completed project will provide more parking than the high school had previously, as well as less need for parking on nearby streets. We are confident that current construction efforts are contributing toward the long-term goal of building a better Ball Hall School, and thus a better GISD.

We want to encourage students and families to consider carpooling if able. Any teamwork will help us conquer these challenges together.
