Registering for AP Exams
ATTENTION! Students and guardians should complete this registration/enrollment together. This is a two-step process and both steps MUST be completed to access the AP Classroom resources and/or order AP Exams. The entire process (both steps) can be completed in a single sitting in approximately 10 minutes.
- Complete the registration process that starts below.
- Enroll all your AP courses and exams in the College Board's MyAP system with the Join Codes you will receive at the end of this registration process.

Students transferring to Ball High School after registration deadlines are exempt from late fees.
Late fees are NOT by covered Galveston Career Connect (GCC). Payment of additional fees is the sole responsibility of the student. If you are a Galveston Career Connect (GCC) student, and you sign up for an AP exam, but are absent on test day, you will be responsible for the $40 unused test fee charged by College Board.
Students who are part of Galveston Career Connect (GCC) will have their AP exams paid for by the program. Please indicate whether you are part of this program when registering through Total Registration for your AP exams. We will verify your enrollment in the GCC program, and then provide you with a fee waiver for the exam fees. If you indicate you are part of the program, but are not, then a fee waiver will not be provided, and the student will be responsible for the exam fee(s). Any information will be communicated to the student through their school email and the email provided in signing up with Total Registration.
A confirmation page indicates that the first step has been completed. The confirmation page will include the information needed to complete the second step of enrolling courses/exams in the College Board's system, MyAP.CollegeBoard.org. This step should be completed right away as exams will not be ordered if both steps are not completed.
Ball High School is excited to offer families the ability to pay their exam fees online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration.
Please contact Ms. Felicia Becnel, feliciabecnel@gisd.org if you would like to register for an exam not listed, have questions about financial assistance, or any other questions.
