What is ParentSquare and StudentSquare?

ParentSquare and StudentSquare is an easy-to-use and secure communication tool that Ball High School utilizes to communicate with families, staff and students. By using ParentSquare and StudentSquare, you are to stay informed about school events, sports, clubs and  more. 

Some benefits of using ParentSquare and StudentSquare:

  • Receive communication via email, phone, text or mobile app
  • Set preferred language to receive communication 
  • Two-way messaging between staff, families/students
  • Choose how often you receive information as it comes or set daily time preference

  • The first step in getting started is adding your student phone number in Skyward. 

  • No, you will automatically receive emails, texts or phone calls without creating an account or signing in. Our student information system syncs contact information directly from Skyward. It is important both parents and students keep their information updated to receive alerts. Students can also sign-in using the website: StudentSquare

    We do encourage students to download the app. If you do not download the app, you will not be able to access all the features of StudentSquare and customize your communication preferences if you do not download.

  • StudentSquare allows you to customize your notifications based on type and your preferred delivery method. The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real time. The Digest setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time-sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily.

    • On your cell or mobile device, from the Home screen tap the top Menu icon
    • On the left menu, tap on Account and then select Notifications
    • Activate the Notifications you want to receive with the slider on the right, then select your preferred delivery method for if you want Instant or Digest
    • You can also make customized adjustments to how notifications appear for your device by going to your device's Settings, selecting Notifications, and selecting StudentSquare to make changes
