Hi, I have been the Ball High School librarian since the 2021-2022 school year. This is my thirteenth year as a high school librarian and seventeenth year in education. I started as a sixth grade Language Arts and Reading teacher and chose to pursue a Masters in Library Science because of my love of literacy and reading. My mission is to grow the library program into the heart of the school; I believe libraries offer more than just books and research. We are a place to gather, a safe place where everyone is welcome, and a place where I can develop relationships with all of our students. My goal is to help everyone to achieve academic success. I enjoy traveling and was awarded a grant from Fund for Teachers to spend two weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland attending the International Book Festival and Fringe Festival. When I am not at work you will find me at home reading, at the pool with family and friends, or going out to eat. I enjoy listening to music and going to concerts. I live in League City with my husband, Brian, two elementary aged children, and two harlequin Great Danes, Daisy Mae and Anna Belle.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Houston in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8, and a Masters of Science from University of Houston- Clear Lake in Library Science. I love being a librarian and believe that it is one of the best jobs in education as I get to develop relationships with everyone while indulging my passions for reading, literacy, and technology.
