About Me

Hi! I'm the school librarian, and I love helping students discover new things through books and technology. Whether I'm helping someone find their next favorite book, teaching research skills, or introducing a new digital tool, I enjoy seeing students learn, grow, and become more confident.

I've wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Looking back, that was probably because I've always loved learning and wanted to share that excitement with others. I believe education can open doors, build confidence, and create opportunities that last a lifetime.

One of my favorite sayings is: "Everyone is a reader. They just haven't found their book yet." I truly believe that. Reading can take you anywhere in the world, introduce you to new ideas, and help you see life from different perspectives. More importantly, becoming a reader strengthens skills that help you succeed in every subject.

If I could give students one piece of advice, it would be this: success isn't about being the smartest person in the room. It's about doing the work. Everyone struggles sometimes, and everyone fails at something eventually. What matters is what you do next. Ask questions, make corrections, take advantage of retest opportunities, and keep working to improve. I've learned that the key to success is understanding how you learn best, creating routines that work for you, and sticking with them even when things get difficult.

When I'm not in the library, you'll probably find me reading, building LEGO® sets, or both, thanks to audiobooks! In fact, students can see some of my LEGO creations displayed in my office. Feel free to stop by and check out what's new.
